NAIBA is dedicated to the exchange of ideas and information among independently owned bookstores; educating booksellers in techniques essential to the effective conduct of their business; increasing public awareness of the value of the bookseller as a vital community resource; promoting excellence and professionalism in the retail book industry.
To achieve these goals, NAIBA hosts an annual conference in the Fall to educate and enlighten booksellers and publishers; creates opportunities throughout the year for booksellers to visit with each other and exchange ideas and have problems solved; communicates weekly with our members on industry events, issues, and creative ideas.
